 |
History was made Thursday, September 8, 2016, as Woodhaven's first ever Girls' Golf Team made their debut against Trenton. The team, currently consisting of six girls, includes Madison Hernandez, Melina Losek, Casey Papp, and Andrea Vidusic (also Chloe Cruz and Stepheni Piatrowski not pictured). The girls suffered their first loss while playing Trenton on Thursday, but are optimistic about matches to come. The season is just getting started and the team is always welcome to new members. The girls' home course is Riverview Highlands. The season will run until the beginning of October and is coached by Brad Ford. |

Class of 2018 Hall of Famers
Basketball Athlete James Driscoll and Baseball Athlete Jason Temple
During a ceremony held on March 11, 2018, two former Woodhaven High School athletes were inducted into the Warrior Athletic Hall of Fame. James Driscoll (1998) is the all-time career basketball leader in points and rebounds. Jason Temple (1993) was a standout pitcher for the Warriors and was drafted in the 8th round of the Major League Baseball Draft. The two join 15 other Hall of Famers who have been recognized for their performance, conduct, and achievement. which has brought credit and honor to themselves and the Woodhaven-Brownstown School District. Their public example will hopefully serve to inspire future graduates to perform and serve in the same spirit.
CONGRATULATIONS JAMES DRISCOLL AND JASON TEMPLE!

Hockey Traditions
Coach Bryan Sullivan has instilled several traditions in our hockey program, One is passing a chain to the player of the game, the other is to sing the fight song after each Warrior victory.
Two special events happened in the locker room after the Warriors beat Southgate, first Jake Pakenas gives the chain to his younger brother Josh who scored his first varsity goal in the contest. Secondly, this rendition of our Warrior fight song includes elementary students who assisted the hockey team with their "Kids Against Hunger Campaign"
Gold Cards for Senior Citizens
The Athletics Department is excited about a new policy that allows senior citizens over the age of 62 free admission into our home athletic events. Stop by the Athletic Office at Woodhaven High School to pick up a gold card. Present your card at the game and you're in!
We appreciate all the support from our most experienced Warriors and look forward to seeing you at all of our events. If you have any questions, please contact Debbie Fortin or Dave Fast at 734-789-2077.
